TO ALL OF OUR BUSH COMMUNITY CUSTOMERS! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU USE ALASKA AIR CARGO:
As a reminder, our unified storage fees policy will take effect on March 1, 2026. This update is designed to create a more consistent experience across our network by clearly outlining when storage fees begin, how they're calculated, and any exceptions based on shipment location.

For reference, arrival is defined as the time the shipment reaches the destination cargo facility. Notification is sent by email to the email address listed on the air waybill (AWB)
When storage charges are assessed:
• Stations in the states of Alaska and Hawai'i, operated by Alaska and Hawaiian Air Cargo:
o Storage fees will be assessed after five days of arrival at the cargo facility, excluding weekends and recognized holidays.
o Rate: $0.03 per lb
o Minimum charge: $40 per day

IF YOU CALL YOUR ORDER IN, PLEASE HAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS HANDY SO WE CAN ADD IT TO YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION. ALASKA AIR CARGO HAS MOVED AWAY FROM CALLING ON ARRIVAL TO EMAILING ON ARRIVAL.
WE WILL CONTACT OUR CUSTOMERS NO LATER THAN THE DAY AFTER SHIPPING WITH AN AIR WAYBILL NUMBER.

Shipping and Returns

All products will be packaged in one pound increments, or as individual items; unless specified in the order comments section. Please make note of the Shipping Address in the comment section if different from Billing Address. We are currently not able to ship perishable items outside of Alaska Be advised that all shipping is pre-pay only, with the exception of Alaska Air Cargo. Please make any necessary arrangements for your Shipping needs. Due to the nature of our Website, we are unable to pre-pay airline freight charges for our customers. Orders under $500 are subject to a $10.00 airport delivery fee. Check with your carrier for freight rates. Anchorage-based Air Carriers only We are unable to use Ryan Air, Grant Air, Yute Air, Wrights Air, or Bering Air as a Starting Air Carrier for shipping out of Anchorage. Any order that needs to ship using these Airlines must use a major carrier to get the order to the closest hub village from the final destination. OUR RESPONSIBILITY ENDS UPON DELIVERY TO CARRIER; ANY CLAIMS FOR MISSING OR DAMAGED PRODUCT MUST BE ADDRESSED TO THE CORRESPONDING CARRIER. All local (Anchorage and The Valley/Girdwood) orders are for pick-up only. Mr. Prime Beef stands behind the quality of our products. We cannot accept returned meat due to USDA regulations.
